There a few common instances when a takedown request should be issued. One of the most common reasons is if assets in your catalog are being transferred to another owner, they will need to be taken down. Additionally, if either the audio file or release artwork is incorrect, a takedown will be necessary to replace either one.

Issuing takedowns is reserved for users with administrative access only.

If there is an error in any text metadata, no takedown is necessary. Text metadata can be pushed directly to DSPs without removing and replacing any assets. Contract and rights details may also be updated in Revelator without requiring a takedown. For more information about updating metadata, click here.
